Kilimanjaro Roof of Africa.
37.3556° E
The mountain that started PeakView. A solitary stratovolcano on the equator, capped in glacier ice. Frame N° 03 carries the founder's mark — and the coordinates of the summit where it began.
A solitary giant
on the equator.
Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain on Earth — a dormant stratovolcano rising 4,900 metres from its base. Three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. The summit sits on the equator and holds glacier ice. A geological contradiction. A pilgrimage site. The founding mountain of PeakView.

The inner temple of every Frame N° 03 carries: 3.0674° S, 37.3556° E. Uhuru Peak. The roof of Africa.
The name Uhuru means freedom in Swahili. The summit was renamed in 1961, the day Tanganyika won independence from Britain. Before that it was called Kaiser Wilhelm Spitze — the German name from when the colonizers ran the territory. The mountain itself is older than borders. The Maasai call it Ngàje Ngài, House of God. The Chagga people who live on its slopes call it Kibo.
Kilimanjaro is the only equatorial peak on Earth with year-round glacier ice. A free-standing stratovolcano rising five and a half kilometres straight out of the savannah — no surrounding range, no foothills, just rock and ice climbing alone toward the sky. The summit holds five different climate zones, traversed in a single ascent. Rainforest at the base. Arctic desert at the top. The glaciers are disappearing. Scientists predict the ice will be gone within fifteen years.
The coordinate marks the highest point on the African continent — and the mountain that started everything.
The Founder's mark.
FIELD JOURNAL Read field journal
The mountain
that started this.
It rained for three days. Then the sky cleared at four in the morning on the fifth. The temperature was minus eighteen.
Uhuru Peak, 5,895 metres. The light came up over the rim of the crater and hit the glacier, and for thirty seconds the entire summit was on fire.
Most people don't talk about the descent. The descent is where you find out who you are. The summit is just where you decided to go.
Kilimanjaro is the third frame in the Summit Series. In order of design, it is the first. PeakView was built from this mountain. The frame is named for it because the brand was named for it.
The coordinates etched on the inner temple — 03.0674° S, 37.3556° E — are the exact location of Uhuru Peak. Not symbolic. Surveyed.
If there is a single piece in the collection that carries the founder's mark, it is this one.
The frame is
the key.
